Anita Saunders

Anita Saunders is “the glue” that holds the GRP office together. Tasked with various responsibilities, Anita enjoys working with the GRP team and interacting with people, whether from Greater Richmond, other states or other countries. “I believe in the Partnership’s mission, and it’s incredibly gratifying to work for an organization that does so much for Greater Richmond.”

Anita joined the partnership in 2011 and is a member of the Executive Women International Richmond Chapter. Before joining the Partnership, she worked for Capital One for 17 years before deciding to take time off to raise her children.

When not at work, Anita loves spending time with her family, going to amusement parks, shopping and watching movies. She especially enjoys the many historical sites in and around Richmond. “This region provides such an amazing opportunity to learn about our nation’s history. Being able to see these historical sites as you learn and teach your children makes for a truly valuable experience.”

During her free time, she enjoys attending her children’s multiple sports activities and school functions. She also has a knack for decorating and interior design. Whenever her family members or associates at church need something done, Anita is the first person they go to. And she does her job outstandingly.

Anita was born and raised in King William County, Va. In 2000, she decided to leave the county for a more lively area. She moved to Henrico, where she still resides today with her husband, Robert, two children and her dog.

With everything on Anita’s busy daily plate, walking a mile in her shoes would be quite exhausting, but she does whatever is asked of her with a smile. She enjoys helping others and making people happy.

Anita attended Mary Baldwin University.
